Join us for the Baker Lake Sockeye Derby, brought to you by CCA, Puget Sound Energy (PSE), and WDFW. With a preseason forecast of 56,000 sockeye returning to the Skagit River system and a 4 sockeye per person, we anticipate a great Baker Lake sockeye fishery and a fun derby for all participants. The season will run from Sockeye Opening Day to August 31. Catch a tagged fish and you’ll be eligible to win prizes at our end of the season gathering (more details to come). Approximately 200 sockeye with CCA tags will be placed in the lake at various times. After the season closes, CCA will randomly draw prize winners from all eligibly submitted tags. Prizes will range from cash prizes to several fishing-related prizes, as well as a prize for the best submitted picture.
